An elderly man here in Telangana in Cyderabad on Saturday suffered serious injuries after the authorities carried out the demolishing exercise of his house while he was there inside it.
The team was carrying out a demolition drive against unauthorised construction without doing proper checks.
The authorities, however, claimed that they made sufficient announcements asking people to vacate their homes prior to the demolition drive.
The police have begun an investigation as to who were to be booked for the negligence and where were the lapses.
