Shrien Dewani told hitman, Anni's murder will be ' business opportunity' for him

A report has revealed that British millionaire Shrien Dewani had allegedly told hitman Zola Tango that his wife's murder was "a business opportunity" for him.

The taxi driver who is serving 18 years in prison for his role in murdering Anni Dewani has told the Western Cape High Court that Anni's husband had approached him with "a job that would make his business grow," reported Sky News.

He claimed that Dewani had told him that he wanted "somebody to be killed" and that he would get 5,000 Rand "when the job is done."

Tongo said that the conversation took place shortly after the couple arrived in Cape Town for their honeymoon.

The killer's testimony followed a controversial cross-examination of Leipold Leisser, a German male escort who counted Dewani as one of his clients.

The British entrepreneur has been accused of orchestrating the murder of his bride, Anni, during an apparently botched hijacking during their honeymoon in Cape Town in 2010.

Dewani has denied the charges claiming that the two were hijacked at gunpoint as they drove through Gugulethu in a taxi.
