Australia fast bowler Peter Siddle has claimed that it would be a little bit daunting at first to walk out onto the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) for the fourth and final Test against India, as it is the same ground where Phillip Hughes was struck by the deadly bouncer.
Siddle, one of the few members of the Australian squad to have played on the SCG since the Hughes' passing, said that the team faces a tough lead up to the fourth and final Test against India.
Siddle played for the Melbourne Renegades in last month's loss to the Sydney Sixers at the ground, saying that it was a tough occasion, News.com.au reported.
Siddle claimed that he had the opportunity to fly down and play the Big Bash game a couple of weeks ago in Sydney during the Brisbane Test and turning up then was a little bit awkward, a little bit daunting at first to walk out onto the ground and spend some time out there.
The fast bowler claimed that it is going to be hard, adding that he believes the lead up is going to be the hardest. He said that the best thing about it all is being together as a team, as that is what has kept them strong.
A number of tributes to Hughes are being planned ahead of the start of the Test on Tuesday. Hughes made his first-class debut for NSW at the ground in 2007 and played his first Test there in 2010, the report added.
