SIIB of Mumbai Airport seize suspected Amphetamine consignment

Officers of the Special Investigation and Intelligence Branch (SIIB) of the Mumbai Airport Special Cargo on Saturday recovered 4.070 kilograms of crystalline powder purported to be Amphetamine with market value of Rs.40.7 lakhs.

Based on specific input, the consignment was intercepted concealed inside 25 cycle seats of Total Courier and Cargo Services Pvt. Ltd located at Koldongri.

The manager of the firm Edward Rodrigues has been arrested in this regard while the proprietor is on the run.

It is suspected that the consignment was to be smuggled to London.
