Simon Cowell has named his newly born son after his late dad and his entrepreneur friend Sir Philip Green.
The 'X factor' judge has paid tribute to his music magnate dad and his tycoon pal Sir Philip Green by adopting the middle name Philip for his son Eric Jr, the Mirror reported.
An insider said that Cowell wanted to pay a proper gratitude to his late father in his life.
According to a source, the new proud dad has given a very clear and proper tribute to his father and he also wanted to pay some kind of tribute to another Philip who has been a major inspiration in his life, Topshop boss Sir Philip Green.
