Simon Cowell has insisted he ''never inherited'' his own wealth and hopes his child with Lauren Silverman will follow a similar path.

The media mogul told a UK publication that he wants his son to feel like he's got to prove his own way and Cowell would like to do what his dad did for him, Contactmusic reported.

Talking about his father, Cowell said his late dad Eric taught him to appreciate everybody, no matter what job or position they hold in comparison.
