Badminton star P.V. Sindhu's father P. V. Ramana on Sunday congratulated her for successfully defending the Macau Grand Prix Gold trophy in the women's singles finals.
Sindhu defeated her South Korean rival Kim Hyo Min 21-12, 21-17 to retain the title.
"I am very proud because she has retained the title. Today she has played really well. As a father I am happy and I just advice her to be very cool and play well in the future tournaments and get many more laurels to the academy and the coach," Ramana told ANI here.
He also heaped praise on chief national coach Pullela Gopichand for his dedication and services to badminton.
"I know him as a friend also, because he is my junior and his dedication, services to badminton are really exemplary and I wish him all the best," Ramana added.
This is Sindhu's first title of the season after she won the bronze-medal at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
