Six suspects were arrested on Monday in Jamalpur area in Burdwan district of West Bengal and a car with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) plate has been seized from them.
They were travelling in the Swift Dzire car, which had a commercial number plate with MoD stickers and Ordinance Factory Board written on it.
The names of the persons detained include Sakir Ahmed, Salim Akhtar, Sheikh Irfan, Sheikh Ansaruddin, Abdul Akhtar and Sheikh Shahrukh.
They failed to provide any ID card as employees of the ministry and also failed to produce any valid documents in respect of the vehicle.
The suspects were interrogated by the police, but they did not get in information.
They are currently in police custody and would be produced in a lower court later in the day.
