South African skipper AB de Villiers has backed out-of-form pace spearhead Dale Steyn to regain form, stating he is confident that the paceman would single-handedly win couple of crucial games for his team in the ongoing tournament.

Steyn claimed two wickets during South Africa's 201-run win over Ireland on Tuesday after failing to take more than one wicket in his side's first three matches.

Describing Steyn as match-winner, De Villiers said that he had got full faith in the fact that he was going to win them a couple of crucial games in the tournament, adding that he just want him to stay in his zone to really keep working hard on his game, to know that they back him 100 per cent, News.com.au reported.

The swashbuckling skipper further said that he hadn't seen any bad form at all, adding that Steyn runs in with a lot of energy, intensity.

Win the win, South Africa are second in Pool B table and will next meet Pakistan on March 7 in Auckland.
