NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden is reportedly complying with Russian president Vladimir Putin's demand of not damaging US with further leaks so that he can be allowed to stay in the country.
According to New24, Putin had asked Snowden to stop his activities of leaking classified documents about US programs if he wants to seek asylum in Russia.
Glenn Greenwald, the journalist who first reported Snowden's revelations said that Snowden is now bent on fulfilling the conditions set by the Russian government so that he can stay in Russia.
Snowden had been stuck at Moscow airport's transit zone as the US had revoked his passport and he could not travel further to Latin America where he intended to seek asylum and instead filed for a temporary asylum in Russia.
Snowden's lawyer Anatoly Kucherena had said that he accepted Putin's condition not to cause further harm to US interests and said that he could be able to walk out free from the transit zone soon if he is issued a certificate that his asylum request is being considered, the report added.
