Indian tennis player Somdev Devvarman has beaten China's Siyu Liu 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 to reach the final qualifying round of the 2013 Shanghai Rolex Masters tournament.
After an easy first set, Somdev failed to capitalize on a few break point opportunities in the second set but came back strongly to once again dominate the third set and go through to the next qualifying round.
The first set took 25 minutes; the second took 46 minutes and the third 29 minutes to complete in a match that went on for 1 hour and 40 minutes in total.
Somdev had qualified for the China Open tournament last week but lost in the first round to Spain's Fernando Verdasco.
