Sonam Kapoor was recently bestowed with the Best Actor award for her role in 'Neerja' at the Masala Awards 2016, Dubai.
Overwhelmed by the gesture, the 31-year-old took to her Instagram account to share a picture with the award and to 'thank #teamneerja' in a heartfelt message.
She wrote, "Thank you for the love.. #bhanots #bling #rammadhvani #teamneerja A lot of conversation has been about awards and who deserves what. As an artist I'm just thankful for the experience of playing #neerjabhanot."
"That in itself was amazingly rewarding... all this dialogue belittles what this incredible woman stood for. Nevertheless all my love to #teamneerja, this is yours as much as it's mine," added the 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' actress who looked chic and elegant in a blingy dress.
On the work front, Sonam will soon start working on sister Rhea Kapoor's 'Veere Di Wedding' along with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rhea Kapoor.
