Congress President Sonia Gandhi arrived in her Parliamentary constituency of Rae Bareli on a one-day visit today during which she will lay foundation stone of the wheel plant at Rail Coach Factory in Lalganj besides addressing a public meeting.
Gandhi, who will lay the foundation stone of city resource centre of housing and urban poverty alleviation ministry, will also preside over a meeting of the central vigilance and monitoring committee.
The Congress President's visit comes a day after her son and Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi visited Amethi.
Rahul yesterday said there is need for ensuring better compensation for the farmers against their produce, and saw immense possibility in development of Amethi as an agricultural hub.
