South Korean President Moon Jae-In called for conscious and restrained efforts on Wednesday regarding the upcoming summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.
While addressing the preparation committee of the Korean summit President Moon Jae-In said, "We are about to embark on a great transition of complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, lasting peace and sustainable development of South-North Korean relations in the history of the world", as quoted by South Korea's Yonhap News agency.
He further said that they need to have extraordinary determination to ensure the success of the summit while focusing on the denuclearization of North Korea.
He also highlighted the maiden summit between the United States and North Korea scheduled for May-June while saying, "The North-U.S. summit will have great significance in the history of the world by its very opening itself".
He further noted that the date, time and venue for the summit have already been discussed with North Koran officials.
"We are about to embark on a great transition of complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, lasting peace and sustainable development of South-North Korean relations in the history of the world", South Korean president said.
Earlier on Tuesday North Korean leader Kim Jong-un made a profound analysis and appraisal of the orientation of the development of North-South relations and the prospects of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)-US dialogue.
