New Zealand's bowling spearhead Tim Southee will reportedly make his return in the experienced 15-man squad, which has been named for the limited overs series against Bangladesh late next month.

Lefthander Anton Devcich, who earned his call up after scoring 115 for New Zealand A against India A earlier this month, is the only newcomer in the squad.

According to Sport24, Southee was excluded from the Test squad due to his ankle surgery, although chief selector Bruce Edgar stated that the bowler is expected to be completely fit for the limited overs matches.

However, the report said that injured opening batsman Martin Guptill and spin bowler Daniel Vettori will both miss the tour, which will consist of three ODIs, two Tests and one Twenty20, starting in October 29 in Dhaka.

According to the report, the squad also includes six players from the New Zealand team to play two Tests against Bangladesh, in Chittagong and Dhaka, early in the month.

Limited overs squad: Brendon McCullum (captain), Corey Anderson, Devcich, Grant Elliott, Tom Latham, Mitchell McClenaghan, Nathan McCullum, Kyle Mills, Adam Milne, Colin Munro, James Neesham, Hamish Rutherford, Southee, Ross Taylor, Kane Williamson.
