Those who opted to fly with low cost carrier SpiceJet on the occasion of 67th Republic Day, were in for a surprise as the airline celebrated the Republic Day in a unique style.
SpiceJet had already announced their Republic Day sale on air tickets on domestic and international routes.
The budget carrier made special arrangements on their Boeing flight as well to make this Republic Day an indelible experience.
Apart from the airport's standard decorations, the airline's cabin crew donned the weekend uniform, whereas, the female crew were spotted with orange kurtis to mark the Republic Day.
Speaking during the flight, cabin crew in-charge Kulbir said, "We played the national anthem on board in every domestic flight on the occasion and everyone appreciated our initiative. This is the first time we are conducting such activity on board."
The entire cabin crew draped tri-color stole around their necks to showcase their spirit of patriotism.
The ground staff of the airline flaunted the tricolor flag badge pinned to their jacket/shirt.
Captain Vishal Sahni, who has been associated with SpiceJet as a pilot from almost 10 years, said, "I am ecstatic about the fact I am flying on Republic Day. We, at SpiceJet like to celebrate all the important functions so that passengers feel a connect with the airline and it is basically a national honour and we want to be a part of it".
In addition to this, the passengers were served pre-booked meals and tri-colored sweets in mid-flight.
