American golfer Jordan Spieth will lose his numero uno spot to Rory McIlroy after missing the cut at the Barclays in New Jersey.
The 22-year-old, who lifted this year's Masters and US Open titles, had claimed the top spot following a runner-up finish to Jason Day at the PGA Championship two weeks back.
However, Spieth finished five strokes over the cut with a seven-over total of 147 to lose his crown. He had posted a first-round 74 with a 73 on Friday, Sport24 reported.
Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson was the halfway leader after carding a 68.
