The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday released its status report on monsoon related diseases which stated that the cases of water-borne diseases declined in the state.
According to the report, during 1st to 31st October 2017, total 3293 cases of Probable dengue/dengue like illness were admitted to various MCGM hospitals as against 4098 cases during October 2016.
From 1st to 31st October, five cases of H1N1 were reported as against 33 cases registered last month.
Only Gastro is the disease which recorded rise in the number. In September it was recorded as 532 while in October 546.
Three deaths took place due to dengue death, while one each due to hepatitis and malaria.
