Sri Lanka to observe 2014 National Safety Day tomorrow on tsunami anniversary

Sri Lanka will observe a National Safety Day tomorrow on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

National Safety Day will be observed for the eighth year since 2006, reports the Lanka Page web site

The Ministry of Disaster Management is making arrangements for the event at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Conference Hall and other places in collaboration with other ministries and departments.

The tsunami struck 13 of Sri Lanka's 14 coastal districts.
