With security heightened across the nation on Republic Day, a militant was neutralised at Kokernag in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag District on Tuesday.
The encounter which started at 3 a.m. today, lasted for almost three hours ending in the militant being killed.
One AK 47 and three magazines were also recovered from the slain militant.
