The streets of Macksville, hometown of Australian cricketer Philip Hughes were empty like it was the middle of the night after the batsman passed away yesterday following a head injury.
According to News.com.au, Macksville is mourning the death of the Australian cricketer.
Everyone in the town was believed to be watching television, glued to the press conference at which Michael Clarke delivered a statement on behalf of Hughes' family.
A bar manager at the Nambucca Hotel said that the town was like a "ghost town" since there was not even one person to be seen around.
Nambucca hotel is where Phillip Hughes used to have a quiet drink or two on his trips home.
