A section of students of Presidency college, Kolkata continued their protest here today to gherao Vice-Chancellor Anuradha Lohia. The students were protesting against the alleged police assault during Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's visit to the college on Friday and demanded the resignation of the vice-chancellor Anuradha Lohia.
Speaking to ANI, the Vice- Chancellor Anuradha Lohia said that students are protesting just for the sake of protest and she will not resign.
"Let them do what can I do. They should think what is good for the University and they don't really have any issue, they are just continuing their protest just for the sake of protest, let them protest, I will not resign,"said Lohia.
