Suarez currently worth at least 79 mln pounds: Report

A new report has revealed that Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is currently worth at least 79 million pounds, which makes him the world's third most valuable footballer.

The study from the Switzerland-based CIES Football Observatory has reportedly revealed that Suarez could fetch as much as 92.3 million pounds now.

According to the Mirror, the study only valued Barcelona star Lionel Messi, with a starting price of 161.5 million pounds, and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, worth at least 85.2 million pounds, higher than Suarez.

The CIES Football Observatory reportedly has in-depth knowledge of the prices paid in thousands of transfers to 'Big 5' divisions over recent years, and have now published their annual review of players, including their market values.

The price tag of each player is reportedly worked out after considering a range of variables including age, the length of contract remaining, position and international experience.

Currently the Uruguayan forward is valued between 79.4 million pounds and 92.3 million pounds following a stunning season at Liverpool, the report added.
