Bharatiya Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy's car was pelted with tomatoes and eggs in Kanpur on Saturday by protestors and black flags were also shown while his convoy passed by.
Swamy was on his way to visit the VVSD college in Nawabganj, when his car was attacked.
"He was not injured, but protestors charged ahead and threw eggs and tomatoes at the car," Swamy's driver told ANI.
A demonstration was happening, when his convoy came passing by. They started showing him black flags and gheraoed his car," a constable who was present during the incident said.
