'Superman vs Batman' producer has justified casting Ben Affleck as Batman because he looks "experienced".
According to Variety, Charles Roven has revealed that they were looking for an actor who had a certain age and a certain gravitas to what he had done in terms of his recent work and the 41-year-old American actor fits the bill as he is a "big and mature man", Metro.co.uk reported.
He explained that that it was their intention as Affleck's Batman looks like a sage, battle-weary hero in comparison to Henry Cavill's Batman, which they wanted particularly juxtaposed against their Superman character.
'Superman vs Batman' will be a sequel to Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel', on which Roven had served as a producer, and is set to open in cinemas on July 17, 2015.
