External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday visited the Times Square to celebrate the First International Day of Yoga.

Greeting the people with 'Namaste', Swaraj said: "I congratulate you on the first International Day of Yoga. It is a historic moment and I must say you have made it doubly historic by your large presence here. It shows the popularity and acceptability of yoga," she said at the Summer Solstice event here.

Earlier, the minister also addressed the International Day of Yoga celebrations at the United Nations here.
