Launching a strong attack on Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for the statements that he has been making against her outside the parliament, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday said the former should habitually take a long vacation and reflect on his own family's history first.

"I want to tell Rahul Gandhi, you love going on vacations. On your next vacation, when you are alone, read the history of your family and come back and ask 'Mamma, how much money did we get in the Quattrocchi incident?'" Swaraj said in the Parliament amid relentless sloganeering by the opposition.

"Rahul Gandhi says Sushma Swaraj acted in a clandestine manner... did a criminal act, helped an absconder... He (Lalit Modi) is not an absconder, no court has termed him that... If someone had done something clandestinely, it is their government which helped Quattrocchi and Anderson get away," she added citing excerpts to this effect from former union minister Arjun Singh's autobiography.

Earlier, Leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge had asked Swaraj to step down from her post on moral grounds.

"The Prime Minister who always said that he 'Na Khaunga na khaane dunga' is now saying 'keep eating and I will watch'," said Kharge.

"Sushma Swaraj ji must resign on moral grounds and for direct or indirect involvement," he added.
