Suspected suicide attack near Indian consulate in Jalalabad city

An explosion took place near the Indian consulate in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad.
The local media reported that casualties were feared and the Deputy provincial police Chief Masoom Khan Hashimi said that he believed a suicide bomber was behind the explosion just after 10 a.m.
Security sources said that a suicide car bomb went off almost 200 meters away from the consulate causing casualties and no damages were inflicted to the consulate or its staff.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
