England swashbuckling all-rounder Ben Stokes, who was left out of the recently concluded World Cup squad, believes that Test cricket is all set to get a major overhaul over the coming years due to the influence of attacking style of one-day format.
Stokes has been recalled to the national squad for the upcoming Test series against West Indies and is pressing for a place in the starting XI in the first Test on April 13.
In early February, the all-rounder smacked an unbeaten 151 against South Africa A's team, which included 15 sixes, and claimed eight wickets in the one-day series against their South African counterparts.
Stokes said that Test match cricket is going to get more exciting in terms of rates of scoring over the next two or three years than one would have seen over the last five, the Mirror reported.
The all-rounder insisted that the attacking style of play would soon roll over into Tests.
