Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg is targeting a top speed of 450 km/h with its new One

According to Stuff.co.nz, the brand's founder, Christian von Koenigsegg revealed that the One:1 will produce 1400 horsepower (just 1000kW) and weigh 1400 kilograms.

He claims it will be the first production vehicle to offer that level of power-to-weight with all the necessary fluids and the driver on-board, the report said.

Initial figures from Koenigsegg's engineers suggest the car could potentially sprint from 0-400kmh in 20 seconds, while a Bugatti Veyron takes about 45 seconds, the report added.

It could also be the fastest car from 0-200kmh, 0-300kmh, and 0-400kmh, the report further said.

On top of that, computer simulations suggest the model may hit speeds as high as 450kmh, eclipsing the Veyron's 430kmh unrestricted top speed and making it the fastest production car on earth, according to the report.
