Pakistani education activist, Malala Yousufzai safety threats have led her associates to keep a tight control over her engagements at United Nations.

Earlier in 2012, Taliban had shot her in head for promoting secularism and bravely campaigning for female education, which is banned under Taliban rule.

The Dawn reports that except for her photo-sessions, no other media interaction was stipulated at the world body's headquarters.

United Nations spokesman Martin Nesriky did not give any reason for her unavailability to the press.

According to the report, Malala will be addressing the United Nations General Assembly with more than 500 students on Friday, where she will share her experiences and raise awareness about the importance of education, particularly for girls around the world.
