The Jharkhand High Court has asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as to when it would start the probe into shooter Tara Sahdev's charges of forced conversion and torture against her husband.
Hearing a PIL, a bench of Justice D N Patel and Pratham Patnaik asked the apex investigating agency to make the judicial officers whose names have come in the controversy as respondents.
The directive was issued by the Jharkhand High Court after an objection was raised to those judicial officers continuing in their offices even after having been named in the case.
Sahdev had earlier alleged that her husband Ranjeet Singh Kohli alias Rakibul Hassan had forced her to convert her religion and that she had been tortured by him.
