With the FIFA World Cup Finals finals just round the corner, getting inked is emerging as the new rage among enthusiastic young men and women in the Delhi and NCR region who are riding high on the spirit of the game.
Soccer stars like David Beckham, Ronaldo and Neymar have been fan favourites not just for their football, but their body art too.
Flaunting their love for the game, youngsters are getting tattoos depicting Brazuca, the official match ball of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and much more.
"Yes, I came here to make a Football tattoo because I am a big fan of Argentina and Messy is my favorite player," said Arav a football enthusiast.
Cashing on this, are tattoo artists who are offering huge discounts through various online deals available on various coupon sites like mydala.com and others.
"There are a lot of tattoo parlors where they are focusing too much on FIFA related or football related tattoos where they have actually made special designs for FIFA and have put it on our site and people are specifically buying that," said Nidhika Sharma, Sr. Vice President - Brand and Alliances, Mydala.com.
Melvyn a tattoo parlor owner in Delhi said they are offering up to 90 percent discount especially for FIFA which is valid till the final match.
Even after India is not a part of this greatest show on earth, getting inked in football colors and sharing them on selfies have become a way for Indian youngsters to be a part of the global football fan community.(ANI)
