Taylor Swift s trying to make amends with Nicki Minaj. She first tired to patch things up by inviting her to MTV VMA stage, but now has openly extended her apologies.

Swift took the initiative to bury the hatchet and said that she thought she was being targeted but misunderstood and hence misspoke, TMZ.com reported.

The 25-year-old 'Bad Blood' star seemed to accept Minaj's explanation that her initial Twitter rant was only about a MTV VMAs snub, even though the 'Anaconda' singer never clarified who she was actually targeting.

Nevertheless, Minaj responded back in peace and thanked Taylor for the apology.
