Chandrabhan Sanap, the man convicted for the rape and murder of a software engineer Esther Anuhya in January last year, has been sentenced to death by a Mumbai Court today.
Special Judge Vrushali Joshi while awarding the sentence said it was a rarest of rare case.
The decomposed body of Esther Anuhya, 23, an employee of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), was found in Kanjurmarg, a Mumbai suburb, on January 16, 2014.
Sanap was arrested from Nashik on March 3 and was charged with raping and murdering Esther.
