American football star Tim Tebow has reportedly gone from being a hero to an outcast after his former team the New England Patriots cast him out of their ranks following his declining performance.
Based on his fan following, Tebow was perceived a year ago to be all the rage with the New York Jets despite his poor form even then, and was a marketers' dream two years ago when he was helping lead the Denver Broncos into the playoffs.
However, the New York Post reports that Tebow is currently a free agent and has not even appeared on the social networking scene since his tweet late August after the Patriots cut him, which thanked the team for 'giving him the opportunity' to play.
Disappointed at Tebow's current condition, his former coach Vinny Testaverde hailed Tebow's hard working attitude, dedication, focus, work ethic and team spirit, although he added that Tebow needs to continue to work on his quarterback skills if he wants to be a quarterback in the NFL.
