Chief Minister of Telangana K.Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday decided to end all problems being faced by handloom weavers and planned to give a permanent solution to their all woes.
The Chief Minister had a detailed review of the problems faced by the handloom and power loom workers at a meeting, at the Pragathi Bhavan yesterday. His main concern was on the living conditions of the handloom and powerloom sector.
Minister like, K.T.Rama Rao, T.Harish Rao, Chief Advisor Rajiv Sharma, Advisor G. Vivek, Chief Secretary S.P Singh, Principal Secretary Shanti Kumari, Principal Secretary (Finance) Ramakrishna Rao, Handlooms Development Corporation Director Sailaja Ramaiyer, Telangana State Cooperative Banks Chairman Ravindra Rao, Handloom weavers Associations leader Jalla Markandeyulu and others also participated in the meeting.
Chandrashekhar Rao also expressed his anguish that both handloom and power loom workers are in dire straits and they are even committing suicides and it's an urgent need to remove their difficulties.
The Chief Minister discussed at length what should be done to these workers and came to a clear understanding of the issue.
