A student has been killed and two others have been injured after their school principal's car ran over them in Telangana's Jadcherla town.
The deceased has been identified as Ramyasree, while the school principal of Akshara School, Murali has been taken into custody by police.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) V Anuradha, "The principal lost control of his vehicle while taking a U-turn, which resulted in the mishap. He drove his car into a group of children who were returning to their respective classes after morning prayers."
"Other two girls have also been injured in this mishap. We have taken the principal into our custody," she added.
A case has been registered under section 304-A Indian Penal Code (IPC) in this regard.
The body has been handed over to the child's family after postmortem.
