"Terrorism divides, and tourism unites. Promoting tourism between the two countries is extremely important," Modi said, while addressing a joint session of Bhutan Parliament.

"India and Bhutan sharing culture and traditions will be beneficial for the youth. The Himalayas are India and Bhutan's common heritage. Can't all the Himalayan states of India and Bhutan do a shared sports tournament together?" he asked.

He further thanked the people of Bhutan for their warm welcome to the Prime Minister.

"Yesterday the warm welcome I received from the airport till Thimpu was humbling, I am grateful," Modi added.
