Three terror suspects arrested after 10-hour gun battle in Chittoor

A joint security operation launched by Andhra Pradesh and |Tamil Nadu Police resulted in the surrender and arrest of three terror suspects on Saturday.

Media quoted police as saying that the arrests were effected after a ten-hour-long gun battle in Puttur in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district.

Reports said the terror suspects belonged to the AMF.

Earlier in the day, media reports had said that around 30 policemen had surrounded the suspects who are also suspected of killing BJP leader V. Ramesh in July this year.
