Tim Burton's alleged infidelity caused split with Helena Bonham Carter

Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter parted ways because Burton reportedly cheated on the actress.

The news comes less than a week after the couple announced the end of their 13-year relationship, and according to the reports, the 56-year-old director had been involved with one of his employees, Berenice Percival, a 39-year-old a production assistant who has been working for him for 3 years, Radar Online reported.

Last year, the blonde mother of one was clicked embracing Burton in Hampstead, North London, and a friend said that Percival has been telling that they're happy, in love and that she sees a future with Burton.

She refers to him as her boyfriend, and he's been a caring and lovely father figure to her son, added the pal.

Meanwhile, another source said that Carter she had thought Burton was going through midlife crisis and hence had given him some space, but it never happened so she reluctantly decided to end things.

However, the pair has insisted that the separation was a mutual decision and they have remained amicable, and had even spent Christmas together with their two children, Billy Ray, 11, and Nell, 6.
