The National Awards of France known as Cesar Awards were recently announced where 'Timbuktu' was awarded in the Best Film category.
Oscar nominated 'Timbuktu' swept seven of the eight categories including Best Original Screenplay,Best Sound and Best Score, Deadline.com reported.
Pierre Niney took home the Best actor award for 'Yves Saint Laurent' whereas, Adele Haenel won the Cesar Award for Best Actress for her movie 'Les Combattants'.
Kristen Stewart became the first American actress to win a Cesar after grabbing the Best Supporting Actress award for 'Clouds Of Sils Maria'.
