Tintin collectibles set to be auctioned in Paris

Hundreds of storyboards, drawings and books by 'The Adventures of Tintin' creator Georges Remi are set to go up for auction in Paris the coming weekend.

Sotheby's, a multinational corporation will put up around 288 items for sale on 7th March, of which around 50 Tintin belongings are signed by the Belgian cartoonist, the BBC reported.

The auction will also include the drawing that was used on the cover of a 1938 edition of weekly supplement Le Petit Vingtieme, and is expected to fetch as much as 480,000 euros i.e. 350,000 pounds.

The storyboarded page from Tintin adventure 'The Castafiore Emerald', which includes a written dedication to screenwriter and novelist Francois Riviere, a page from 'King Ottokar's Sceptre' will also be available to grab.

Christie's will also hold its own sale of 'bande dessinee' in Paris on March 14, which will include 10 Tintin originals.
