The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday said that the Jitendra Singh Tomar case has exposed the 'true face' of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
"Jitendra Singh Tomar case exposes the true face of AAP. Even after this incident came to light, AAP maintained its silence on the matter. The party which used to hold press conferences to ask for other people's resignations never asked for Tomar's resignation," BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI.
"When they had the option of asking for a resignation they did not. They did so only when they had no other option," he added.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia will meet Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung later in the day.
The meeting comes a day after Tomar tendered his resignation as the Delhi Law Minister.
Tomar, who was arrested yesterday and sent to four-day police custody, has stated that his degree is not fake and blamed his arrest on a conspiracy by the Central government.
