Liverpool player Kolo Toure has urged his new teammate Luis Suarez to stay on at the club, saying that Suarez has more chance of winning trophies with the Anfield giants than at his old club Arsenal.
Toure had left Arsenal four years ago to join Manchester City in search of silverware, and collected FA Cup and Premier League winners' medals, following which he made his entry in Liverpool, the Mirror reports.
Since Arsenal's last success, Liverpool has lifted the European Cup, FA Cup and League Cup, for which Toure advised the Uruguayan to ignore the north Londoners' interest, saying that Liverpool is set to add more silverware under second-year manager Brendan Rodgers.
Stating that Suarez can have more chances to win trophies if he stays on at Liverpool, Toure, who joined the Anfield giants this year after his City contract expired, further said that the club has prepared its organisation, players' mentality and the staff to win more silverware.
According to Toure, Liverpool is a top professional club and Suarez is a good part of the Liverpool squad, although he added that it is up to the club to decide what will be the best for it.
Meanwhile, the Ivory Coast centre-half has insisted that he has not left City to join Liverpool, saying that he could not believe it when Rodgers contacted him, despite having different offers from other clubs.
Stating that he made his decision straight away, Toure also said that even though Liverpool is not in the top four group of clubs, they have the necessary history and quality, players and the winning mentality to make them a great club, for which he is glad to be a part of the side.
