Trinidad and Tobago have beaten Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets and with 29 balls to spare in the last group match of the 2013 Champions League Twenty20 tournament, to top their group and reach the semi-finals.
After inviting Chennai to bat first, Trinidad were set a target of 119 in their 20 overs and they had to lose by a maximum of 5 runs to reach the semi-finals and win in 17.4 overs to top the group.
Lendl Simmons (63) and Evin Lewis (38) ensured that Trinidad reached their target in just 15.1 overs.
Trinidad and Tobago would now face Mumbai Indians in the second semi-final at Delhi while Chennai Super Kings will face Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
Lendl Simmons was also adjudged the player of the match.
