In a pleasantly surprising turn of events, twin sisters in UK, who found out about their pregnancy on the same day, beat odds of 400,000-1 by giving birth on the same day.
While Heather Richardson gave birth by c-section in Newcastle to 8lb baby girl Emelie Frances, her sister Sarah Fidler delivered her 7lb son Austin Gibbs in Ashington despite having a different due date, the Daily Express reported.
Richardson agreed with Fidler when she said that her labour was unexpected, saying that the pair has always felt the same pains and if any one of them is upset, the other one can feel it, but going into labour on the same day is unbelievable.
The 35-year-old twins, who work together as science technicians and studied in the same university, are now both at North Tyneside General Hospital for their post-natal care in next door cubicles.
