A hijab war recently broke out on social media when a tweet from an entertainment and lifestyle portal stated that the bawal style of hijab was more attractive to men.

Adding fuel to the fire, the portal further opined that women shouldn't bother too much about what style of hijab they wear because the simplest style would be what men would find most attractive, reported Astro Wani.

Showing their rage on the comment, twitter users argued that the purpose of wearing the hijab is not to solicit compliments from men or grab their attention.

Replying to the portal's comment, a user tweeted, "HOW A GIRL WEAR HER TUDUNG GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. OK STOP IT. LET HER WEAR HER BAWAL OR LILIT LILIT SHAWL LET HER DO HER THING ughhhhhH"

Meanwhile, other user tweeted, "Seriously?? We didnt wear bawal tudung or shawl for guys ok please ? Its based on our comfortable and taste . Stupid x pyh perasan lah.
