Two bogies of a local passenger train derailed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) in Mumbai on Sunday.
A railway official, who confirmed the report, said that no casualties or injuries have been reported. The official added that investigations are on to find out the reason behind the derailment.
"At 10.30 in the morning we got information that Panvel 46 has derailed in Victoria Terminus (VT) while entering platform number two. When we reached the site, we found that that the trailing trolley of the second coach from the back has derailed. There are no casualties because it was Sunday and there were less number of people," said the official.
The derailment affected the harbor lines as the mega blocks were cancelled. However, the harbor line service between VT and Kurla kept running on the main line from platform number three and four keeping in mind the passengers' convenience.
