Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans were injured in a landmine blast triggered by the Maoists today in Dhulipudi area near Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border in Visakhapatnam district.
The incident took place when the security personnel were carrying out combing operations near the Andhra-Odisha border.
Sources said the condition of injured jawans is stable, adding the cops are chalking out plans to deploy more forces to intensify combing operations in the area.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had earlier said that the Centre was prepared to hold talks with the Maoist outfits if they abjured violence and laid down their arms.
